4l60e Transmission To Transfer Case Gasket Leak

I have a 93 jimmy 4x4 i bought a 4l60e out of a 90 93 not sure.

4l60e transmission to transfer case gasket leak. Can anyone verify that lack of the paper gasket between the transfer case and transmission will result in transmission fluid leak. I have a green fluid leak t case fluid coming from the front axel input shaft seal drivers side. Transmission fluid is slowly leaking into the transfer case. Gm 4l60e transfer case adapter gasket and seal kit for transmission model years 1996 and up.
